Why are custom entries (for e.g Programmer = "avrusb") not accepted ?? :-(

Struggled with this one for ages. Limited functions, limited port selections, not good for serious use.

Just downloaded avrdude-gui. Seems to work under MS-Win. I found no indication anywhere about if or not the gui can be used under Linux. Finally after examinating "Makefile.win" I found: this is MS-Win only. I propose to indicate within the sourceforge page to indicate the host-OS to prevent unintended downloads. Sorry for this kind of feedback. kr, sepp2gl

Nice, but prety old. In this program there is no way to set port above COM9, while avrdude allow to set option like -P \\.\com15
